I have only had the opportunity to use the Safir 9 a handful of times so far. It's only use has been ice fishing, but it was purchased for hunting in the mountians, Argo and truck camping, not backpacking this into the bush.
The pegs supplied are not good for mounting on ice. Even with a pilot hole the ice was cracking and shatters before the peg was set. I used some ice pegs from my wife's ice fishing shelter. They worked well, standing up to the 40km gusting wind 100' off shore, not much shelter out there lol. Tent shed the wind well, didn't realize how windy it was until I had to run back to the truck.
First time setting up the tent, including drilling pilot holes for the pegs, was under 15 minutes. Second time was just over 5.
First time outside temp was -25c. We had a small propane buddy heater and with vents open it was comfortable inside. Second time it was -15c with 25km winds with a wood stove. Too warm, had to open the front door. The floor is just the lake ice, shoveled it all off to ice level for inside the tent, this also gave the walls roughly 4' of a snow bank so the wind only got the top 6-8 feet of the tent. Drill a hole 2' deep under where the stove will be set (ice was 5' or more) for the water to drain into. Spread sand on the ice and it helps with traction. The skim of water drains into the hole, leaving the sand. The ice looks really clear and you can actually see over 25' down to the bottom where your lure is through the ice.
Quality of build is great. The stitching was inspected and no loose ends found. The material around the base was nice as it didn't freeze to the lake. Added bonus of being dried out after an hour in front of the wood stove once we got home.
Both trips were day trips, didn't have the opportunity for an overnighter yet. We did have 6 people fishing in the tent with a decent amount of room.
Will get the opportunity to camp May long weekend, and almost every year we get out of the tent to a snow or heavily frosted ground one of the mornings.
The air venting system works really well. Was able to cool off the tent when we had the stove going by either opening the main door, or 2 vents at the bottom and the top half opened.
I did a fair amount of research before purchasing this tent. The cost is VERY high so you want to ensure you're not buying something that will fail on you when the closest shelter is 300km away. I am happy with the purchase as of now, buy once, cry once right? Expecting this to last for over 20 years. So doing the math, if I spend 20 nights a year for the next 20 years it is only $10/night for a palace. Pretty good deal. My wife wasn't happy with the price, but sure loved fishing out of it in a short sleeve T-shirt when it is -15c and windy outside.
I will try to update this once I have completed my fall hunt. For now, it is a great purchase.

We camped out in San Diego’s first ever Blizzard. My Wife and Daughter enjoyed the warmth of the tent and are looking forward to camping again. One note, due to Southern California fire laws we used a mr buddy heater which worked to keep us warm. Still i really want a wood stove.

This tent is perfect for camping or setting up an outdoor sleeping / command tent scenario.

The Safir 9 CP is by far the best tent I have ever used! My two daughters and myself are comfortable winter camping on cots with room to move around inside the tent. So quick and easy to set up and the Eldfel stove quickly heats up the tent on cold days. After much research in wall tents, synthetic tipi style tents I decided to purchase the Safir 9 CP and I have absolutely no regrets. I will have many years of outdoor memories with an exceptional product. Thank you Tom for the outstanding customer service. You’ve made the purchase experience enjoyable.
If anyone should be “sitting on the fence” as I was for 6 years, buy the Safir 9 CP. Simply the best outdoor tent available for a family or a single camper.

First I would like to thank Tom at Mansfield Outdoors for making the purchase of my Safir 9 CP and accessories a great experience. I received the items in Canada quickly despite the recent shipping issues we have all been experiencing.
After years of reading about the Tentipi products and comparing to other options I am happy to have went the direction I did.
I have never camped in the winter before and have enjoyed a few overnights in my back yard with my kit.
The Tentipi Safir 9 CP is a solid tent and so easy to set up! The comfort floor is good quality. The Eldfell stove is amazing! I can’t wait to use the pole kit soon.
I feel this tent is the best quality product I could have chosen for me and my kids to enjoy adventures together.

I looked for a rugged, easy to handle and set up, weather hardy, flexible, portable, luxurious camping, hunting, glamming, Covid outdoor backyard space, kids outdoor playroom for a long long time.
I have some land in Colorado backcountry/mountains and also tween kids. I read every review I could find.
I fully researched 5 other solutions (canvas tents, other tipi options, portable cabins/huts...).
I’m so pleased I decided on this Tipi! It’s great!!
My first time setting it up took me 9.5 minutes by myself (5’5 experienced outdoors female). I also bought a Solo Ranger (which is about 13” tall) and we’ve been able to use it inside the Tipi to hang out in bad weather outside.
It’s great for packing in, setting up a group base camp and having a place for a good 4-6 people on stacked cots to be comfortable. The material is high quality and all the stitch lines and set up it smooth.

I have now used the safir 9 a few times to camp. It is very quick to setup and pack up after you are done. Everyone and I mean everyone, wants to know about it and take a look inside. On the last trip it was below freezing each night. Using a two dog stove almost seemed like cheating. You have to open the door a bit to keep from cooking yourself. I have a young son and even though the tent cost a bit, I look at it as an investment for his enjoyment. I look forward to many years of use out of this tent. The oversized stuff sack it great!

This tent is super easy to set up by yourself. Wish the stacks were a bright color so they did not blend into the grass, but this is me so I can not give a lower rating.

It was 3:00 this morning and I was awoken from a dead sleep. The ground was trembling and the vibrations could be felt all through the cot.
Then, the small herd of deer stopped and they were in every direction outside screaming out there sounds. About 20 seconds later they trampled off but one lone deer stayed. He vocalized for about 3 more minutes and was just feet away from my canvas tipi tent wall. Then he took off to catch up with the others. Might that have been the Male Buck protecting his herd? A mountain Lion was spotted in the area just last week.
Go onto the spiritual path and experience things you might not even concoct in your brain.
Buy a Safir 9 CP. Take the journey.

I just got back from a solo hunting trip and stayed in my Safir 9 Tipi for 4 nights. It was a great experience and I am already looking for the chance to get out and use it again. It rained on and off during my trip and I was happy with how I could leave the top vent open on the down wind side of the rain to alow air flow with next to no rain coming inside. I also used the drying rail for the first time and wow does it come in handy for drying and keeping your things organized. Great Tipi and products!
