I purchased this tent simply to be able to have an option of building a fire inside it just like a regular teepee. Not only can it do that, but so much more. I've now used it multiple times and will be using it again next week. I've had it out in 26 degree weather so far. I have yet to put out all the stakes and guy lines. It stands up to what I need. It is easy to set up and take down. I can put on motorcycle and usually carry in my jeep at all times. I live it. And am considering either a 9 or maybe the 15. Just for more room. An outstanding tent.

Have only used it one weekend, but Temps dropped into low 20s. This tent is great for 3 adults with gear and a fire box. Getting ready to use it for a July fishing trip to Wyoming. I recently added a floor for our next trip and it fits in nicely during setup.

The craftsmanship on this tent is exceptional. Setup is easy. Read the instructions and watch the video will make quick work for an easy setup the first time around. What sold me on this tipi tent is the airflow vents, 3 on the ground level along with the top vent. Excellent customer service and quick shipping. Looking forward to many years of service from this tentipi.

I purchased the Safir 7 to serve as my family's new camping tent now that we have begun camping with our 1 year old. We have taken it to several places in Wyoming and could not be more pleased. I like the ease of set up as well as the roominess. The ventilation system has worked well and kept the inside cool for naptime. I look forward to many years of use ahead!

To say up front my husband and I looked at these tents for over a year now and could not decide what size and style to get, but thanks to a phone call and talking to Tom the decision was made. Great customer service.
We received the Teepee yesterday and since I was so Excited I could not wait for Hubby to get home, so i started to unpack everything and to before I knew it it was set up. We decided last night, despite bad weather forecast, to sleep in our new Teepee in the backyard. It is amazing.
Going camping in style this weekend regardless the weather

We used the Safir 7 and the Eldfell Stove for a family camping trip at 8000' where it still gets below freezing at night in July. It's like having our own cozy cabin that goes with us wherever we go. The family loved it! Thank you for making these available in the U.S. Thomas!

Have used it a few times already and once with a stove in it. Easy to set up and take down. Don't think I could ever go back to a regular tent after buying this one. Well worth every penny.

We take our tipi everywhere! Fast, easy setup. Great for any weather, including rain! Spacious and protects from elements. I love the vent features, fantastic for hot days!

The tentipi is a gem. I've camped since childhood, both extended bike touring cross country and backpacking, and in later years car camping in remote areas while day hiking. I once lived in a 16 foot Navajo style tipi for 4 months, and kept the tipi year round as a guest room and gathering place. In my youth I spent months camping with a tarp for shelter, then upgraded to fine mountaineering tents as age and budget allowed. I've used a lot of shelters for camping...
I was hesitant to shell out the bucks for a tentipi, as it is a significant investment. My wife and I are in our 50s and while we still prefer primitive camping, we also enjoy being comfortable, and being able to retreat into a luxurious shelter during inclement weather.
The tentipi is a smashing success. The set-up is easier than your typical tent. Just tap out the stakes, hook up the base, raise the pole, and tighten the straps. After the first set-up, leave the liner attached and it pops into place within the cover.
We last used our tentipi while elk hunting in the Colorado mountains. It was a treat to stay inside shelter during the early mornings, while it was dark and bitter cold outside, to just roll over and fire up a small propane heater for a few minutes to warm up the tentipi. For safe ventilation, we could reach to open the upper and lower vents from the sleeping bag. Then to stand up, walk around, get dressed, and cook breakfast inside - what a deal!
We camp a lot, and the tentipi is the "cream of the crop" when it comes to reliable, luxury backcountry camping. The investment was well worth it. Anything that makes camping more enjoyable and more frequent is a great investment in my book!
I also have to mention, that when I ordered the tentipi I was needing it quickly, and the model I wanted just happened to be out of stock at the Mansfield warehouse. Tom Mansfield would not accept that and went over and above to get my tentipi direct shipped from the factory in Sweden. The attention to customer service was noteworthy. It was a pleasure doing business with someone who really cares about their product and their customer.
